When you’re in the water there are certain precautions that can be taken to keep yourself and anyone with you safe. With crashing waves and strong currents, lakes, rivers and seas can be dangerous places. However, with the right accessories and knowledge, you can be sure to enjoy your water sports to the fullest.
A leash is one piece of vital kit needed to ensure your safety while surfing, bodyboarding or paddle boarding. Leashes not only do a great job in stopping your board from drifting out of your reach, but also prevent a wayward board from hitting any other surfers nearby.
Two Bare Feet offer a full range of leashes, perfect for keeping your board close to you whilst surfing, bodyboarding or paddleboarding. Our selection includes both regular and coil swivel leashes, both of which are highly durable.
Choosing the length of leash depends hugely on your board length. For example, if you have an 8’ board we’d recommend a leash of a similar length – trust us when we say you don’t want to end up too close to a big board in the whitewater!
Our coiled leashes feature a Velcro fastener, ensuring that the leash remains securely attached to either your ankle or wrist, as well as allowing for quick removal if you come into any difficulties on the water. Engineered with a high-strength density coil cord, these leashes are incredibly strong, and can withstand the strongest of waves. The coil design also helps the leash resist tangling or wrapping around your ankles.
On the other hand, our deluxe leash range is available in a variety of lengths and features double precision stainless swivels, to prevent tangling. A standard leash is also less restrictive when compared with a coil option, as they don’t need to stretch to accommodate your movements up and down the board.
