Sherpa Jackets
Wrap yourself in ultimate warmth with Two Bare Feet’s Sherpa Jackets. These jackets are the cozy kings of our apparel lineup – combining a fully waterproof exterior with a luxuriously soft Sherpa fleece interior. If you love the idea of a warm, fluffy blanket on a cold day, a Sherpa jacket is basically that blanket turned into a wearable, weatherproof coat! They’re perfect for anyone who spends time by the water in cooler weather, or really any outdoor activity where staying toasty is a priority. Surfers, paddleboarders, campers, dog walkers, and winter beach-goers alike have made our Sherpa jackets a fast favorite.
Serious Warmth & Weather Protection: Don’t let the plush fleece fool you – these jackets mean business when it comes to shielding you from the elements. Each Sherpa jacket features a seam-sealed outer shell with an impressive 8,000mm waterproof rating. That’s right, 8K waterproofing to keep you completely dry even in heavy rain. The fabric is also windproof, so cold gusts won’t penetrate through. Inside, you’re treated to a thick Sherpa fleece lining (reminiscent of lambswool) that traps heat and feels super snuggly. It’s like wearing a soft shearling blanket that also blocks wind and rain – the best of both worlds. This combination of an 8K-rated outer and insulating inner makes our Sherpa jackets ideal for cold, damp conditions where a regular hoodie or non-lined jacket just wouldn’t cut it.
Design & Features: Two Bare Feet Sherpa jackets come in both men’s and women’s versions (with tailored cuts for each), and a range of stylish color combinations. For example, the Women’s Sherpa Lined Waterproof Jacket (Sea Green/Cream) offers a fun pop of color on gray days, while the Men’s Sherpa Lined Waterproof Jacket (Black/Charcoal) keeps it classic and low-key. All our Sherpa jackets share common functional features: a large hood lined with Sherpa fleece to keep your head warm (some customers say they don’t even need a beanie when they have the hood up!), zippered front closure with a storm flap to seal out moisture, and adjustable cuffs to tighten around your wrists. You’ll also find spacious pockets – typically two outer hand-warmer pockets (fleece-lined, of course) and one or two inside pockets for stashing a phone or keys securely. Despite the heavy-duty warmth, these jackets are cut to hip-length for easy movement, and they’re not overly bulky. We’ve designed them to be warm but not weighty, so you can wear a Sherpa jacket while handling tasks or equipment outdoors without feeling encumbered.
When & Where to Use: The short answer – anywhere you want to stay warm! Sherpa jackets truly shine in scenarios like: After watersports – Picture this: you’ve just finished an early morning surf or a winter wild swim, you’re cold and maybe a bit damp. Throwing on a Sherpa jacket immediately starts to bring your body heat back up while keeping out the chill wind. Many customers use our Sherpa jackets as a convenient “change robe jacket” to get warm fast after coming out of cold water (often in tandem with a hot drink in hand). Outdoor events and camping – If you’re camping by the coast or attending an outdoor sports event, you’ll be glad to have the Sherpa’s warmth once the sun goes down. It’s great for campfire evenings and breezy mountaintops too. Everyday winter wear – You don’t have to be involved in watersports to love this jacket. Its stylish design and extreme coziness make it a go-to winter coat for daily wear – from walking the dog in the rain to doing the school run on frosty mornings. It’s tough enough to handle outdoor work and play, but comfortable enough that you’ll reach for it even for casual outings.
Layering & Care: Sherpa jackets fit a relaxed, slightly oversized style – that’s intentional so you can layer underneath if needed. On very frigid days, you might wear a hoodie or sweater under it; on milder days, a t-shirt is enough since the jacket itself is very insulating. As for care, the jackets are machine washable (we recommend cold wash on gentle, due to the fleece) – making sure to close the zippers and velcro so nothing snags the Sherpa lining. They dry best hanging up overnight. The fleece will stay fluffy if you avoid fabric softeners and heavy dryer use.
Complete Your Cozy Kit: If you adore the Sherpa fleece feel, check out our matching Sherpa Fleece Blankets. These blankets use the same concept – waterproof on one side, sherpa on the other – perfect for picnic grounds, wrapping up on a boat, or keeping in the car for impromptu adventures. Also, consider picking up a Changing Mat for your watersports needs – stand on the waterproof mat while you change out of your wetsuit, then pop on your Sherpa jacket and you’ll be snug and dry from head to toe. With Two Bare Feet Sherpa jackets and accessories, even the coldest, wettest days won’t stop you from enjoying the great outdoors.
